ECS Yamagata University Student Chapter (ECSYU)

The Electrochemical Society (ECS), a global academic society with a history spanning over 100 years, has its student chapter known as ECSYU. Established in 2018, it was the first ECS student chapter in Japan. Currently, with support from ECS and others, it invites researchers from around the world to plan and host symposiums and seminars. Additionally, it actively engages in exchanges with over 100 ECS student chapters abroad, serving as a community for students and young researchers specializing in electrochemistry and solid-state physics. It provides a global learning environment and a stepping stone for those venturing into these fields.

Organizing Symposium

From April 2019 to April 2020, I served as an organizer staff member, and from April 2020 to May 2022, I took on the role of chairperson, planning and managing a total of nine symposiums. Additionally, I successfully invited 16 researchers from five different countries, providing participants with opportunities for exchange.

Making Attractive Posters

During my tenure, I focused on creating eye-catching, modern-designed event posters to attract a large number of participants. As a result, we successfully increased attendance from about 10 people to over 50.
